About Me

My name is Michelle Pohlable and I am a Music Therapist-Board Certified (MT-BC), recognized nationally by the Certification Board for Music Therapists. For more information about this credential, please visit the Certification Board for Music Therapists website found on my links page.

I completed my undergraduate education at Eastern Michigan University, where I earned a Bachelor's of Music Therapy. As part of the music therapy curriculum, I completed a 6-month internship at Community Therapy Services in St. Charles, IL. During my internship, I worked in a pediatric setting, focusing on helping children with developmental disabilities achieve their greatest potential.

I moved to West Palm Beach in December of 2006 to pursue a job working as a music therapist for the Hospice of Palm Beach County. I love using the multidimensional qualities of music to help individuals nearing the end of their life experience relaxation, personal expression and growth, physical and mental stimulation, and comfort and affirmation..

Since I was a child myself, I've been working with children who have a diagnosis on the autism spectrum and I have seen the incredible benefits of music therapy offers to these individuals.  I am excited to meet families in Palm Beach County and to provide music therapy interventions designed to meet your child's individual needs.
