Responsibilities included planning and leading musical experiences using voice and various instruments while observing and documenting progress.
Music therapy practicum 2 hours each week for 26 weeks working with adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities in a residential setting under the supervision of a board certified music therapist. Responsibilities included assessment, developing a treatment plan based on the assessment, implementing music therapy experiences, and documenting progress.
Music therapy practicum 2 hours each week for 28 weeks with older adults with dementia in an adult-day-care setting under the supervision of two board certified music therapists. Responsibilities included assessment, developing treatment plans based on the assessments, developing and implementing music therapy experiences, documenting and evaluating progress, and transitioning the clients to a new therapist.
